The address may seem familiar, as I have played this location many times before, but this is the first gig under this name. Former names were “The Rockin’ Horse” and “Black Jack’s”.

This evening’s gig will be  with a group of friends I have played with on and off for the past 15 or so years.

Rick Rivard A.K.A. Ricky Blues – Guitar & Lead Vocals
Greg Saracino – Drums
Anthony Packes – Guitar
John Packes – Guitar
Dino Covelli – Keys & Synths
Marc Belladino – Saxophones

The first set includes blues, classic rock, and some Ricky Blues originals. The second set is Pink Floyd, lots of Pink Floyd. Why Pink Floyd? When you have a band with seven members, each with different tastes, it can be difficult to decide on which song to cover.

“Nah, I don’t think that one will work.”
“That song sucks.”
“I don’t want to play that one.”
“I’m sick of playing that tune.”

What was the one band we could all agree on? “Pink Floyd”.

With each show, we have gotten more and more positive responses. The plethora of guitars, plus the keys, and now the addition of sax… it’s quite a sound.
